Cat6 and Cat6A are both twisted pair cable standards used for Ethernet networking. The shielded RJ45 Cat6 and Cat6A connectors are designed to work with shielded twisted pair cables. They have a slightly different design than unshielded connectors, with an extra grounding clip to provide a more secure shield connection.
